Restore Direct Bus Services from Mid Wales to Cardiff
Restore Direct Bus Services from Mid Wales to Cardiff
The people of Mid Wales once had a direct bus connection to our Nation's capital Cardiff. We can bring that connection back.
Buses provide a valuable community service, especially in our rural area. They allow those who cannot drive the freedom to go to school, to work, and to access essential services - which is particularly helpful for young people, those with mobility issues, and the elderly.
However, the altering of bus routes by the former Welsh Labour Government have burdened rural communities like ours with longer journeys and confusing connections to reach Cardiff, leaving us cut-off from not just essential services but the wider Welsh economy.
Commenting, David Chadwick said: "The change to the T4 service may look minor on a map, but for those who rely on public transport, it has made travelling to Cardiff significantly more difficult. Rural communities should not be expected to accept a worse service while being told it represents progress."
David Chadwick MP, Jane Dodds MS, and the Welsh Liberal Democrats want to fight to bring back our direct connection to Cardiff
